Saint Patrick School was found in 1966 and was blessed and dedicated by Bishop Walter P. Kellenberg. In the traditions of the congregation of the Saint Joseph, an order of religious nuns that were educating on Long Island since 1856, set the direction that Saint Patrick School would take. Saint Patrick School started with about 400 students, enough to fill four grades. Sister St. Catherine was the first principal of Saint Patrick School and server for five years. Then Sister Muriel Keegan became principal in 1972 and held her position for 20 years...
